Martindale-Hubbell
The independent attorney rating system, Martindale-Hubbell® has been evaluating practicing lawyers throughout the U.S. for more than 130 years. Among its ranks are trial lawyers, judges and clients – all who’ve contributed to the organization’s notorious and often spot-on ranking system. As one of, if not the top, ranking systems in all of the country, an AV® ranking from Martindale-Hubbell® says a lot about an attorney’s abilities, as well as what his peers think about the level of services he has to offer. In totality, an AV® rating indicates an attorney’s ability to competently and ethically perform above and beyond his job duties, often to the benefit of his clients. This is precisely what Mr. Shomo has done time and again, and this has likely played a significant role in his recognition from the ranking system.
In Florida alone, there are more than 83,000 legal professionals licensed to practice law in the state. However, a mere 20% of these lawyers have achieved the same AV® ranking that Mr. Shomo has. Practicing law for nearly two decades, Mr. Shomo has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell® for almost equally as long. With such prestigious recognitions associated with his name, you should have no doubt in your attorney’s ability to effectively address your case to the best of your advantage, as other peers in the field have already identified him as such.

American Board of Trial Advocates
The American Board of Trial Advocates, more informally referred to as ABOTA, was organized decades ago in 1957 for the purpose of preserving the civil jury trial system. Specifically, its mission is to keep safe the practice of justice for the people – a practice that the organization still advocates for today. Since 2010, Mr. Shomo has been a proud member of ABOTA, constantly demonstrating his skill, integrity, and civility while helping younger attorneys achieve a higher level of trial advocacy. In addition, his efforts have been focused on educating the public about the vitality of the Seventh Amendment. This is yet another recognition and civil service that Mr. Shomo has selflessly dedicated to society, and it will be one that he likely continues to contribute to for many years to come.
